South Warwickshire Local Plan (SWLP) – Regulation 19 Consultation

Regulation 19 is a formal, legal stage set out in the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012. For the SWLP this is the final draft version of the plan before submission to the Government for examination.

All previously‑considered strategic development options around Hockley Heath have been removed from the SWLP Regulation 19 consultation, which runs from 21 July to 8 September 2026. However Lapworth, Hatton and Kingswood continue to be identified as strategic growth locations. Even though all strategic sites around Hockley Heath have been removed, the Planning Inspector has the power to recommend changes. Until the plan has completed that process and is formally adopted, there remains a degree of uncertainty.

Residents are encouraged to review the consultation documents and submit comments if they wish. Representations (comments) must be made directly to Stratford‑on‑Avon District Council or Warwick District Council by 23:59 on 8 September 2026. The link to the Consultation on the SWLP website is included here: South Warwickshire Local Plan.

The Parish Council has been provided with a hard copy of the consultation documentation which will be available for residents to view most Tuesday mornings until 8 September 2026 in the Pavilion hall.
